Corrections and updates
Every change we have made to a figure or a calculation, with the date we made it. Corrections are never deleted.
How we handle mistakes
If a number on this site is wrong, we would rather hear it from you than not hear it at all. Email us via the contact page with the figures you entered, the result you got and the result you expected. Accuracy reports go to the front of the queue.
When we find an error, three things happen. We fix the calculation. We publish an entry here saying what was wrong, who it affected and for how long. And we leave that entry up permanently — a corrections log you can edit afterwards is not a corrections log.
Scheduled checks appear here too, even when they find nothing. A figure that has been verified this month and a figure nobody has looked at since launch are not the same thing, and you cannot tell them apart from the number on the screen.

Guides section launched with five written guides
Five plain-English guides on emergency tax codes, bank holidays and holiday entitlement, notice periods, the April 2026 Statutory Sick Pay changes, and the unfair dismissal qualifying period. Each one was written against GOV.UK and Acas rather than against other guidance sites, and each links to the calculator it relates to.
Affected: Guides

Scheduled check of all statutory figures
Every rate and threshold in the calculators was checked line by line against its GOV.UK source page. No discrepancies found. The next scheduled check is on 6 April 2027, when the new tax year begins.
Affected: All calculators

Site launched with five calculators
Take-home pay, holiday entitlement, notice period, redundancy pay and Statutory Sick Pay, each with a full breakdown and a written guide. Every calculation is tested against worked examples before release, including the Personal Allowance taper above £100,000, the Scottish income tax bands, and redundancy service that crosses an age boundary.
Affected: All calculators
