Role Overview
As a Welcome Host (Security), the successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for visitors, delivering a warm welcome while ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of Tower Bridge. This role combines excellent customer service with a strong security presence, helping to create a safe, enjoyable, and well-managed visitor environment.
This position is ideal for someone friendly, observant, professional, and confident working in a busy public-facing setting.
Key Responsibilities as Welcome Host (Security)
Provide a friendly and professional welcome to all visitors
Deliver outstanding customer service and visitor assistance
Maintain a visible security presence across the site
Monitor access points, entrances, and public areas
Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or visitor concerns
Carry out security checks and patrols as required
Enforce site rules, safety procedures, and crowd management controls
Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations
Assist with evacuations or emergency procedures when necessary
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience in security, customer service, or hospitality (preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Calm, confident, and professional manner
Ability to remain alert and attentive for long periods
Customer-focused mindset with a helpful attitude
SIA licence or willingness to obtain one (if required)
Flexible approach to shifts, including weekends and public holidays
