Role Overview

As a Welcome Host (Security), the successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for visitors, delivering a warm welcome while ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of Tower Bridge. This role combines excellent customer service with a strong security presence, helping to create a safe, enjoyable, and well-managed visitor environment.

This position is ideal for someone friendly, observant, professional, and confident working in a busy public-facing setting.

Key Responsibilities as Welcome Host (Security)

• Provide a friendly and professional welcome to all visitors

• Deliver outstanding customer service and visitor assistance

• Maintain a visible security presence across the site

• Monitor access points, entrances, and public areas

• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or visitor concerns

• Carry out security checks and patrols as required

• Enforce site rules, safety procedures, and crowd management controls

• Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations

• Assist with evacuations or emergency procedures when necessary

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in security, customer service, or hospitality (preferred)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Calm, confident, and professional manner

• Ability to remain alert and attentive for long periods

• Customer-focused mindset with a helpful attitude

• SIA licence or willingness to obtain one (if required)

• Flexible approach to shifts, including weekends and public holidays
