Role Overview
As a Store Colleague, you’ll be at the heart of the customer experience—offering helpful advice, maintaining high standards in pet care, and supporting daily operations to keep the store running smoothly. This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about animals and who thrives in a customer-facing, team-focused environment.
You’ll need to be available to work at least four days per week, including a Friday and one weekend day, with shift times between 7:00am and 8:30pm.
Key Responsibilities as Store Colleague
- Deliver exceptional, friendly customer service at all times
- Build relationships with customers and help them find the best care and products for their pets
- Maintain high standards of animal welfare, cleanliness, and in-store presentation
- Operate tills, handle cash, and process transactions efficiently
- Support daily store operations including stock replenishment and displays
- Follow all company policies and safety guidelines, especially in animal care
- Contribute to team targets and promote special offers where relevant
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive team atmosphere
Skills & Experience Required
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Confident communicator with a friendly and helpful attitude
- Ability to solve problems and respond to customer needs quickly
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
- Team player who supports colleagues and works collaboratively
- Flexible and adaptable to meet changing store demands
Shift Pattern & Pay
- Flexible shifts between 7:00am–8:30pm
- Minimum 4 days per week (must include Friday + one weekend day)
