Key Responsibilities as Senior Building Surveyor

• Deliver professional building surveying services including condition surveys, technical due diligence, defect analysis, and planned maintenance reports

• Lead and manage refurbishment, repair, and maintenance projects from inception to completion

• Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation

• Provide expert advice to clients on building pathology, construction standards, and regulatory compliance

• Conduct surveys across a variety of commercial and residential properties

• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes

• Prepare structured reports and present findings to clients clearly and professionally

• Support junior surveyors through mentoring and technical guidance

Skills & Experience Required

• RICS Chartered status (MRICS or FRICS)

• Strong technical knowledge of building surveying principles, construction methods, and legislation

• Proven experience delivering both professional and project-based surveying work

• Excellent report-writing, analysis, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple instructions and meet deadlines effectively

• Confident in client engagement, relationship-building, and presenting technical information

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as within a team
