Role Overview
Mitie is seeking a Security Team Manager to lead and develop a high-performing security team. The role involves managing security officers, front-of-house operatives, and subcontractors to deliver exceptional service, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and drive continuous improvement.
This position is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to balance operational management with a focus on customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities as Security Team Manager
- Lead, coach, and develop a security team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability
- Act as the primary point of contact for the team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback
- Ensure service delivery aligns with SLAs and KPIs, and address issues efficiently
- Promote a professional, client-focused environment, resolving problems with practical solutions
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate strategy, share best practices, and motivate staff
- Ensure all team members complete Mitie induction and training programs
- Uphold all company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards
- Attend client and internal meetings as an ambassador for Mitie
- Drive adoption of new systems, processes, and ways of working
- Support HR in addressing employee issues in accordance with company policy
- Monitor and maintain compliance with information security protocols
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven leadership and management experience within security or facilities services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service focus, with the ability to resolve client issues proactively
- Knowledge of health, safety, and quality management systems
- Ability to represent the company professionally in meetings and on-site
- Commitment to coaching and developing teams
- Strong decision-making skills and a strategic mindset
