Role Overview

The Security Specialist, Information & Analysis plays a vital role in the organisation’s global security team. Reporting to the Lead Security Analyst for Global Threat Monitoring, this position focuses on gathering, analysing, and delivering timely security assessments to both clients and internal stakeholders.

The role involves producing high-quality written reports, conducting targeted research, and ensuring that client-facing security information remains accurate, relevant, and reflective of the current global environment. Working closely with content specialists, medical professionals, and risk managers, the Security Specialist contributes to both operational readiness and client support.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in security intelligence who thrives in research, analysis, and clear communication—helping businesses and travellers operate safely across the globe.

Key Responsibilities as Security Specialist, Information & Analysis

Monitor and analyse global security developments, ensuring client updates reflect the current risk environment

  • Produce written and verbal security risk assessments tailored to specific organisations, profiles, and itineraries
  • Collaborate with content, research, and multimedia specialists to deliver clear, accessible, and impactful intelligence products
  • Conduct targeted research in support of security operations and planning
  • Report and escalate emerging security or disruption issues in line with guidance and thresholds
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of intelligence and assistance operations, including tools, training, and best practices
  • Deliver safety and security training, workshops, and consultancy support for clients as needed
  • Support sales and marketing teams in presenting International SOS services through webinars and client forums

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in security intelligence or related fields such as military, government, NGO, or journalism
  • Undergraduate degree (or equivalent training) in security, risk management, international politics, or international relations; Master’s degree an advantage
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, with experience presenting to senior decision-makers
  • Previous international work or study experience preferred
  • Client-focused mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent spoken and written English; additional language skills (French, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Russian, or others) are desirable

Shift Pattern & Work Requirements

  • Day shift role, with occasional overtime depending on operational needs
  • Rotating roster with a mix of 9- and 12-hour shifts (no night shifts)
  • Some travel may be required, occasionally at short notice
