Security Officer – OCS | SIA Licensed Security Guard

Role Overview

As a Security Officer, the successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment at the assigned site. Working as part of a professional security team, the officer will be responsible for protecting people, property, and assets while delivering a visible, approachable, and customer-focused service.

This role is ideal for someone who is vigilant, dependable, and confident in handling security duties within a dynamic working environment.

Key Responsibilities as Security Officer

• Provide a visible security presence to deter unauthorised access and ensure site safety

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both internal and external

• Monitor CCTV systems and respond appropriately to incidents and alarms

• Control access to the site, checking identification where required

• Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, incidents, and security breaches

• Complete accurate incident reports and maintain security logs

• Deliver excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors

• Ensure all security procedures and health & safety policies are followed at all times

Skills & Experience Required

• Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor licence (essential)

• Previous experience in a security role (preferred but not essential)

• Strong observation and communication skills

• Calm, professional approach with the ability to handle challenging situations

• Reliable, punctual, and flexible to meet operational requirements

• Good understanding of health, safety, and security procedures

Shift Pattern & Pay

• Shift patterns may include days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays

• Competitive hourly rate (dependent on site and experience)
