Role Overview
As a Security Officer, the postholder will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across the Eaton Estate. Working as part of a professional security team, the role involves proactive monitoring, access control, and incident response to ensure the highest standards of safety for residents, visitors, and staff.
This position is well suited to a vigilant, professional, and customer-focused individual who can remain calm under pressure while upholding security procedures and estate standards.
Key Responsibilities as Security Officer
Conduct regular patrols of the estate to deter and detect security risks
Monitor access points and control entry for authorised personnel and visitors
Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
Provide a visible security presence to ensure safety and reassurance
Maintain accurate logs and incident reports in line with company procedures
Liaise with estate management, emergency services, and internal teams as required
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security policies at all times
Deliver excellent customer service while enforcing estate rules and regulations
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience in a security or guarding role (preferred but not essential)
Valid SIA licence (or willingness to obtain where required)
Strong observation skills and attention to detail
Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in challenging situations
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours
A customer-focused approach with a commitment to high security standards
Shift Pattern & Pay
Shift-based role, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and shift pattern)
