Role Overview

Kings Security is currently seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join their team in Leeds (LS15 0BF). This full-time role includes both day and night shifts, offering an opportunity to play a key part in safeguarding premises, assets, and people.
The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling access, conducting patrols, and responding effectively to incidents—ensuring a high standard of security and customer service at all times.

This position is ideal for individuals who are observant, calm under pressure, and committed to creating a safe, welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities as a Security Officer

• Greet and assist visitors, providing a professional and reassuring presence
• Monitor access and ensure only authorised personnel enter the premises
• Conduct regular internal and external patrols to identify and address security risks
• Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and incidents
• Operate surveillance equipment and accurately document all findings
• Maintain detailed logs and reports in line with both client and company procedures
• Collaborate with emergency services when required
• Uphold high standards of customer care and communication across all interactions
• Ensure uniform and equipment are worn and maintained in line with company standards

Skills & Experience Required

• A valid SIA Licence or SIA training certificates (required)
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written
• Flexible approach to shift work, including days and nights
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Calm and composed demeanour in emergency situations

Desirable but Not Essential

• Prior experience in a similar security role
• Familiarity with CCTV systems and access control tools
• Understanding of basic security protocols and health & safety procedures

Shift Pattern & Pay

• Full-time position with rotating day and night shifts
• £12.60 per hour
• Immediate start available
