Role Overview
The Ritz London is seeking a professional Security Officer to join its prestigious Security Department. This role is central to ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and visitors while upholding the highest standards of discretion and professionalism. From conducting routine security checks to responding swiftly to incidents, the Security Officer will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
This position is ideal for an individual with previous security experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
Key Responsibilities as Security Officer
- Ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and visitors at all times
- Conduct routine security and entrance checks across the hotel
- Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents or emergencies
- Monitor and enforce health, safety, and fire regulations
- Maintain strong communication with colleagues across departments
- Provide discreet and professional assistance to guests when required
- Support the wider security team with day-to-day duties and incident management
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous security experience, ideally in a 5-star or high-expectations environment
- Knowledge of emergency, fire, and first aid procedures
- Strong observational skills with the ability to assess situations quickly
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Professional, polite, and confident manner when dealing with guests and colleagues
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
