Role Overview
Perimitec is seeking a reliable and professional Security Officer to join its team at a school site in the Ascot/Slough area. This full-time, permanent position runs Monday to Friday, 15:00–23:00, and is critical in maintaining a safe and secure environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. Acting as the first point of contact, the officer will represent both Perimitec and the client with professionalism at all times.
This role is ideal for someone dependable, alert, and experienced in security who is ready to work independently while upholding the highest standards of safety.
Key Responsibilities as Security Officer
- Act as the first point of contact for reception-based duties
- Monitor and manage access control at all entry and exit points
- Patrol the premises regularly to ensure safety and security
- Operate and monitor CCTV systems
- Lock and unlock the school site at the beginning and end of shifts
- Keep accurate logs of all activities, incidents, and observations
- Liaise with emergency services when required
- Maintain a safe and secure environment at all times
Skills & Experience Required
- Valid SIA Licence (essential)
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (essential – can be arranged prior to deployment)
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience in security (preferred)
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to remain alert and work independently during evening shifts
- Willingness to complete full vetting, including 5 years of employment history (or since leaving school, if shorter)
Shift Pattern & Pay
- £12.50 per hour
- 40 hours per week (permanent, full-time)
- Monday to Friday, 15:00–23:00 (evening shifts)
- Overtime opportunities available at weekends
