An exciting opportunity has opened in central London for an experienced Security Manager to lead a dedicated team across a high-profile corporate and luxury retail environment. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with extensive knowledge of security management and a passion for delivering a five-star experience to clients, occupiers, and visitors.
Role Overview
As a Security Manager, the successful candidate will oversee all aspects of site security, including front-of-house, back-of-house, loading bay, and the control room. They will be responsible for recruiting, managing, and empowering their team, setting the standard for professionalism, service excellence, and safety. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, confident communication, and the ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities as Security Manager
- Lead, motivate, and develop a large security team across varied functions
- Oversee CCTV, access control, fire systems, and key management processes
- Ensure all incidents are managed, reported, and resolved in line with policy
- Work closely with clients, service partners, and external agencies including Police, Council, and Emergency Services
- Deliver and monitor compliance with SLA requirements and company standards
- Manage team rotas, manning levels, recruitment, and staff development
- Ensure patrols, reporting, and investigations are carried out to best practice standards
- Respond effectively to emergencies such as medical incidents, fire alarms, and security threats
- Maintain professional presentation and conduct of the entire security team
- Provide regular reports, audits, and updates to management and clients
Skills & Experience Required
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) licence and CCTV licence (essential)
- Strong leadership experience within a security management role
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with high attention to detail
- Knowledge of electronic security systems, key management, and auditing processes
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work under pressure, respond quickly in emergencies, and make sound decisions
- 5 years of verifiable work history
- Flexible, reliable, and confident in stakeholder engagement at all levels
Shift Pattern & Pay
- Full-time contract: Monday to Friday, 08:00–18:00
- Salary: £54,906 per annum
- Holiday entitlement: 28 days inclusive of bank holidays
