Role Overview

We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Room Booking Assistant to support smooth operations within our Estates and Facilities department. Acting as the first point of contact for all room booking enquiries, you’ll be responsible for coordinating space usage across the estate and delivering excellent customer service to a wide range of users.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position (35 hours per week), ideal for someone with a background in administration or customer service who thrives in a fast-paced and service-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities as Room Booking Assistant

  • Manage room booking requests via email, phone, and booking systems
  • Maintain accurate schedules and usage records
  • Resolve conflicts in bookings and suggest suitable alternatives
  • Provide administrative support for meetings and events, including room setup
  • Deliver excellent customer service to staff, students, visitors, and stakeholders
  • Support reporting and data entry to track room usage trends

Skills & Experience Required

  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable using booking platforms and Microsoft Office tools
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Problem-solving mindset with a flexible, can-do attitude
  • Previous experience in administration or customer-facing roles is a plus

Salary & Contract Details

  • Salary: £29,137–£31,333
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
