Role Overview

As a Retail Security Officer, the successful candidate will play a vital role in protecting people, property, and assets within a retail environment. They will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, preventing loss and theft, and ensuring a safe and positive shopping experience for customers and staff.

This position is ideal for someone who is alert, professional, customer-focused, and confident working in a fast-paced retail setting.

Key Responsibilities as Retail Security Officer

• Provide a highly visible security presence within the store

• Deter theft, anti-social behaviour, and criminal activity

• Monitor store entrances, exits, and shop floor activity

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises

• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents and emergencies

• Complete accurate incident and daily activity reports

• Support store staff with loss prevention and safety procedures

• Deliver excellent customer service at all times

Skills & Experience Required

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence

• Previous retail security experience (preferred but not essential)

• Strong observation and communication skills

• Calm, professional, and approachable manner

• Ability to remain alert and focused for long periods

• Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
