ARTIST ROOMS is a unique national touring collection of modern and contemporary art jointly owned by Tate and National Galleries of Scotland. Role Overview
We’re looking for a Programme Assistant to join the ARTIST ROOMS team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. In this role, you’ll support the planning and delivery of the national touring programme, helping to bring exhibitions to audiences across the UK. From coordinating project timelines to liaising with partners, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our programme runs smoothly and efficiently.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for the arts and experience supporting multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities as Programme Assistant
- Provide administrative support for the planning and delivery of exhibitions
- Coordinate project timelines, meetings, and communications with partners
- Track documentation, contracts, and logistics for touring exhibitions
- Support internal reporting and data collection
- Assist in evaluating the impact of the programme
- Collaborate with teams at Tate and National Galleries of Scotland
- Contribute to the wider success of the ARTIST ROOMS initiative
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Confidence in liaising with stakeholders and project partners
- An interest in art, museums, or the cultural sector
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- A proactive mindset and a willingness to learn
Contract & Pay
