Role Overview

As a People Operations Team Lead, the successful candidate will take pride in leading a high-performing HR operations team, ensuring that all processes—from onboarding to employee lifecycle management—are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with industry best practice. Key Responsibilities as People Operations Team Lead

  • Lead, coach, and develop a People Operations team to deliver world-class HR service

  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contracts, changes, leavers, and compliance processes

  • Ensure HR documentation, records, and data are accurate, secure, and up to date

  • Drive continuous improvement across People Operations processes and procedures

  • Act as an escalation point for complex or sensitive employee queries

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Talent, Payroll, and wider business teams

  • Ensure all processes comply with employment legislation, GDPR, and internal policies

  • Support HR systems management and improvements, ensuring efficient workflows

  • Produce reports, insights, and data to support decision-making

  • Champion a positive employee experience across all operational touchpoints


Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in HR operations, people services, or employee lifecycle management

  • Proven team leadership or supervisory experience

  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR compliance

  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment

  • High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders
