Role Overview
As a Partner in Planning, the successful candidate will take a senior leadership role within the planning division, helping drive growth, shape client strategies, and oversee major planning projects. This role involves delivering expert planning advice, managing high-profile clients, leading complex applications, and contributing to the overall strategic direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities as Partner | Planning
Provide expert planning advice to clients across a wide range of development sectors
Lead and oversee major planning applications, appeals, and strategic planning projects
Build and maintain strong relationships with private and public sector clients
Manage and mentor junior and mid-level planners within the team
Contribute to business development, including pitching, client acquisition, and market growth
Develop strategic planning solutions that support clients’ development objectives
Collaborate with internal teams across development, research, valuation, and consultancy
Ensure compliance with national, regional, and local planning policy and regulations
Represent clients at public inquiries, hearings, and stakeholder meetings
Skills & Experience Required
Extensive experience in UK planning, ideally in a senior or leadership role
Strong understanding of planning policy, legislation, and the development process
Proven ability to manage complex planning projects and high-value portfolios
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills
Strong commercial acumen and experience in business development
Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor planning teams
Professional qualifications such as MRTPI (preferred)
Strategic mindset with the ability to influence and drive outcomes
