Role Overview

Wood Mackenzie is recruiting a Head of Global Safety, Security & Resilience to lead its worldwide safety and risk management strategy. This senior leadership role will safeguard employees, infrastructure, and reputation across the company’s global operations. The successful candidate will drive crisis preparedness, embed a culture of health and safety, and build resilience into every aspect of the business.

Key Responsibilities as Head of Global Safety, Security & Resilience

  • Develop and lead a global crisis management and business continuity framework
  • Build, train, and support regional crisis teams to ensure consistent readiness
  • Act as the global health and safety ‘Competent Person’, exceeding compliance standards
  • Lead initiatives that improve workplace wellbeing, ergonomics, and safety culture
  • Oversee security at events, offices, and facilities worldwide
  • Assess and mitigate security risks across the global estate
  • Shape and deliver a travel risk management program aligned with ISO 31030
  • Provide tailored briefings and risk analysis for leadership and employees
  • Ensure compliance with international regulations, including ISO standards

Skills & Experience Required

  • Recognised health and safety qualifications and global leadership experience
  • Proven track record in business continuity, crisis management, and travel risk programs
  • Knowledge of ISO standards (45001, 9001, 14001) and ability to apply them effectively
  • Strong communicator, able to influence at all levels of an international organisation
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and respect for confidentiality
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid, fast-paced working environment
  • Collaborative and proactive leadership style
