Role Overview

H&M Security is seeking a dedicated and experienced Gatehouse Officer to join its team in a remote part of Scotland. In this role, the officer will be responsible for safeguarding client premises through effective surveillance, monitoring, and incident response. The position requires vigilance, professionalism, and a strong ability to work independently while ensuring the highest standards of safety and security are maintained.

Key Responsibilities as Gatehouse Officer

• Monitor premises via CCTV and on-site surveillance systems
• Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, incidents, or emergencies
• Provide first aid and CPR when required
• Conduct regular patrols to prevent unauthorised access and maintain safety
• Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
• Handle conflicts calmly and effectively to ensure a secure environment
• Document all incidents and produce detailed reports
• Support loss prevention strategies for clients

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in security or law enforcement (essential)
• Certification in First Aid and CPR (essential)
• Strong knowledge of CCTV and surveillance systems
• Excellent conflict management and communication skills
• Military experience (advantageous but not mandatory)
• High attention to detail and strong observational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Shift Pattern & Pay

• Full-time position, based in Scotland (on-site only)
• Annual salary: £24,420 – £30,000
