Role Overview
As a Customer Assistant, you’ll be part of a busy, hands-on team responsible for everything from restocking shelves to operating tills. No two days are the same—you’ll rotate through different tasks and make sure the store looks its best while delivering outstanding service. Key Responsibilities as Customer Assistant
- Provide excellent customer service, answering queries and offering support with a friendly smile
- Operate checkouts efficiently and accurately
- Unpack and merchandise deliveries to keep shelves full and fresh
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the store
- Bake fresh goods to keep the bakery stocked and inviting
- Restock and arrange non-food ‘Middle of Lidl’ products for maximum impact
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a fast-paced environment (preferred)
- A positive, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic
- Great communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings or late evenings
- A friendly, helpful attitude with a commitment to excellent service
Shift Pattern & Pay
- £14.00 – £14.35 per hour
- Additional pay: £2.00/hour on bank holidays, £3.50/hour for night shifts
- Various shift patterns available
- Opportunities to specialise in Freshness, Bakery, or Non-Food
