Role Overview

Securitas UK is seeking an experienced and motivated Campus Security Manager to lead security operations across assigned datacentres and corporate offices. This leadership role is accountable for ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant environment, while managing a team of Security Officers and partnering closely with senior management.

The successful candidate will oversee physical security services, drive operational effectiveness, and support audit readiness, all while fostering a culture of respect, collaboration, and performance. This role is ideal for a professional with datacentre experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering customer-focused security solutions.

Key Responsibilities as Campus Security Manager

  • Lead physical security operations across multiple critical infrastructure facilities
  • Manage and support site security personnel, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and development
  • Ensure site security systems (CCTV, access control, intruder alarms) are safe and compliant
  • Plan, assign, and deliver security projects and tasks to a high standard
  • Coach, mentor, and manage security staff, ensuring policies and standards are upheld
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements to security operations
  • Partner with clients and Securitas leadership for account reviews, planning, and assessments
  • Ensure KPIs, health, and performance targets are met or exceeded
  • Maintain audit readiness and complete compliance checks as required
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring a safe and secure environment

Skills & Experience Required

  • Valid SIA Licence (essential)
  • UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential)
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the security industry, with 4 years in management roles
  • Proven experience within datacentre security operations
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety, supervisory practices, and security procedures for 24-hour facilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with security systems and incident management software preferred
  • Security qualifications such as CPP or PSP (desirable)
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends if required during emergencies

Shift Pattern & Pay

  • Monday to Friday
  • 40 hours per week
  • Permanent contract
  • £55,711 per annum
