Role Overview

As a Retail Security Officer at a busy Boots High Street store, the successful candidate will play a vital role in protecting people, property, and stock while delivering excellent customer service. This position is ideal for a vigilant, professional, and approachable individual who can confidently manage security responsibilities in a fast-paced retail environment.

Working full time, the officer will act as a visible deterrent to theft and anti-social behaviour while ensuring a safe and positive shopping experience for all.

Key Responsibilities as Retail Security Officer

• Provide a highly visible security presence on the shop floor

• Prevent loss, theft, and damage through effective monitoring and patrols

• Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining store security

• Monitor CCTV systems and respond appropriately to incidents

• Conduct bag checks and follow store loss-prevention procedures

• Liaise professionally with store management and emergency services when required

• Complete incident reports accurately and in a timely manner

• Ensure compliance with company policies, site instructions, and SIA standards

Skills & Experience Required

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence

• Previous retail security or loss prevention experience (preferred)

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Professional appearance and confident manner

• Ability to remain calm and alert under pressure

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

• Full-time position

• Shifts scheduled according to store requirements (including weekends)
