Role Overview
As a Cyber Security Consultant, the successful candidate will play a key role in helping clients strengthen their security posture through expert guidance, risk assessments, and tailored security solutions. Working closely with stakeholders, this role focuses on identifying vulnerabilities, improving security controls, and ensuring best-practice cyber security frameworks are implemented effectively.
This position is ideal for a proactive professional with strong technical knowledge, consulting experience, and a passion for protecting organisations against modern cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities as Cyber Security Consultant
Conduct cyber security risk assessments, gap analyses, and security reviews
Design and recommend security architectures, controls, and best-practice solutions
Support clients with compliance against standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, and CIS
Identify vulnerabilities and advise on remediation strategies
Produce clear technical and executive-level security reports
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver managed security services
Stay up to date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends
Provide security guidance throughout project lifecycles
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience in cyber security consulting or information security roles
Strong understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and governance
Knowledge of network, cloud, and application security concepts
Experience with vulnerability management and security assessments
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001, CEH, or similar) preferred
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
