Role Overview

The Security Officer role at MAK Security is designed for individuals committed to ensuring safety and security across assigned sites. Successful candidates will work as part of a professional security team, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and enforcing security protocols. This position is ideal for vigilant, disciplined candidates who take pride in maintaining a secure environment for clients and the public.

Key Responsibilities as Security Officer

  • Conduct regular patrols of premises to identify and mitigate security risks.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents and emergencies.

  • Enforce company security procedures to prevent unauthorised access.

  • Assist visitors and employees courteously and professionally.

  • Liaise with law enforcement agencies when necessary.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Valid SIA licence (required).

  • Proven experience as a security officer or related role.

  • Good communication skills and proficiency in English.

  • Must be aged 18 or over.

  • Full driving licence and own transport preferred but not essential.

  • Previous experience in first aid, surveillance technology, or loss prevention (desirable).

Location & Contract

  • Work Locations: Manchester and Liverpool.

  • Contract Type: Full-time or Zero-hours contract.

  • Shifts: Day, Night, 10-hour or 12-hour shifts available.
