Role Overview

As an Events Security Officer, the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and venues during a wide range of events. This role involves maintaining a visible security presence, controlling access points, monitoring crowd activity, and responding effectively to incidents.

Working as part of a professional events security team, the Events Security Officer will help deliver a safe, welcoming, and well-organised experience for all attendees.

Key Responsibilities as Events Security Officer

• Provide a professional and visible security presence at event venues

• Manage access control, ticket checks, and entry/exit points

• Monitor crowds and identify potential risks or incidents

• Respond promptly and calmly to emergencies and disturbances

• Carry out regular patrols of designated areas

• Assist guests with directions, information, and general support

• Enforce venue rules and security procedures

• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate logs

• Work closely with event staff, supervisors, and emergency services

Skills & Experience Required

• Valid Frontline SIA licence (required)

• Previous security or events experience (preferred but not essential)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude

• Ability to remain calm under pressure

• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays

• Eligibility to work in the UK

• Five-year checkable employment history (preferred)
