Role Overview
Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced and proactive Security Manager to lead and oversee security operations across its UK sites. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding people, property, information, and business continuity. Working closely with senior leadership and external partners, the Security Manager ensures that robust security strategies, policies, and procedures are in place and consistently applied.

This position is ideal for a security professional with strong leadership skills, sound judgement, and the ability to operate confidently in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities as Security Manager

• Develop, implement, and maintain effective security policies, standards, and procedures

• Lead security risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations

• Manage physical security measures, access control systems, and monitoring arrangements

• Act as the primary point of contact for security incidents and emergency response

• Liaise with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and security service providers

• Oversee security training, awareness programmes, and compliance initiatives

• Ensure alignment with legal, regulatory, and corporate security requirements

• Provide expert advice to senior management on security risks and mitigation strategies

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience in a senior or managerial security role

• Strong knowledge of security risk management, physical security, and incident response

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills

• Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure

• Experience working with third-party security providers

• Relevant security qualifications or professional memberships (desirable)
