Role Overview
The Surveyor / Senior Surveyor will play a key role in delivering high-quality advisory and management services for student accommodation assets across the UK. Working within a specialist team, the role combines valuation, consultancy, and investment support—offering exposure to a fast-paced and evolving sector.
This position suits someone analytical, commercially minded, and confident in dealing with clients and stakeholders. Whether operating at Surveyor level or stepping up as a Senior Surveyor, the successful candidate will contribute directly to the growth and performance of the student property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Support valuations, feasibility assessments, and due diligence for student accommodation schemes
Assist with investment analysis, market research, and financial modelling
Conduct on-site inspections, condition assessments, and asset reviews
Prepare high-quality reports and recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders
Build strong working relationships with investors, operators, and development partners
Monitor market trends and contribute insights to support client decision-making
Work closely with senior team members on major transactions and consultancy projects
Ensure all work meets professional, regulatory, and company standards
Skills & Experience Required
Background in property surveying, valuation, or consultancy
MRICS qualification (or working towards it) strongly preferred
Strong numerical and analytical skills, including financial evaluation
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present findings clearly
Knowledge of the student accommodation or residential investment market is an advantage
Ability to manage deadlines, prioritise tasks, and work independently when needed
Confidence working with clients and contributing to meetings or presentations
A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
