Role Overview

Enable is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Security Officer to join its dynamic Events Team in Battersea. This role plays a key part in ensuring the safety and security of all visitors, staff, and assets during events, while delivering exceptional customer service.

Working under the direction of Duty Managers and the Lead Security Officer, the Security Officer will help maintain a safe environment in line with regulations and venue procedures. This casual position requires flexibility, with early mornings, late nights, and weekend shifts as part of a rota. Candidates must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.

Key Responsibilities as Security Officer

  • Support the Events Team by managing security at weddings, functions, and community events
  • Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
  • Monitor and authorise the entry of vehicles and guests at venues
  • Secure exits, doors, and windows at the close of events
  • Assist with event set-ups and pack-downs when required
  • Coordinate suppliers during early morning set-ups, ensuring safety and adherence to park rules
  • Oversee guest departures during late-night finishes, ensuring safety and order
  • Manage traffic flow for suppliers and guest vehicles
  • Communicate venue restrictions, rules, and guidelines effectively to clients, guests, and suppliers

Skills & Experience Required

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (minimum requirement)
  • Experience within the security industry, ideally in both indoor and outdoor settings
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
  • Excellent time management and decision-making skills
  • Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Full UK manual driving licence (preferred but not essential)
  • Flexibility to work weekends, early mornings, and late nights on a rota basis

Shift Pattern & Pay

  • £15.52 per hour
  • Casual contract (0-hour basis)
  • Flexible rota including early mornings, late nights, and weekends
