The Royal Albert Hall is seeking an experienced Security Team Leader to oversee and manage its Stage Door department. This pivotal role supports the Hall’s daily operations while contributing to its wider security strategy, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of millions of visitors each year.

Role Overview

As a Security Team Leader, the successful candidate will take responsibility for leading a team, operating the latest security systems, and maintaining a safe environment for staff, contractors, performers, and patrons. From monitoring CCTV and managing alarms to handling incidents in line with protocol, this position requires both technical expertise and exceptional leadership.

Key Responsibilities as Security Team Leader

  • Lead and manage the Stage Door security team to deliver consistent, high-quality service
  • Monitor and operate CCTV, intruder alarms, and fire panel systems
  • Ensure all security incidents are managed in accordance with established protocols
  • Support the implementation of the Hall’s security strategy and policies
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors, staff, and performers
  • Work collaboratively across departments to maintain a secure, welcoming environment

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in the security industry, with supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of CCTV, alarm systems, and incident response protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in high-pressure situations
  • A proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail

Shift Pattern & Pay

  • Rolling shift pattern: two days, two nights, followed by four days off
  • Full-time permanent contract
