Role Overview

Vigilant Security is seeking a Security Manager to join their team at a prestigious central London location. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm, offering an exciting opportunity to lead a large security operation across corporate offices and luxury retail settings.

The Security Manager will be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing a professional security team, ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer service alongside robust safety standards. This role requires a confident leader with strong communication skills, extensive security management experience, and the ability to build excellent relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities as Security Manager

  • Lead and support a team of security officers across front-of-house, back-of-house, loading bay, and control room functions
  • Maintain strong daily communication with team members, ensuring a 5-star guest experience
  • Oversee recruitment, training, performance, and professional conduct of the security team
  • Liaise regularly with clients, tenants, and service partners, ensuring security services consistently meet high standards
  • Manage and monitor security systems including CCTV, access control, key holding, and fire safety systems
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs, policies, and procedures, minimising risks across the site
  • Respond effectively to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, ensuring accurate reporting and swift resolution
  • Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including local councils, police, and emergency services
  • Ensure accurate rota management, staff allocation, and operational cover for daily needs and special events
  • Conduct investigations, audits, and reporting in line with industry best practice

Skills & Experience Required

  • Valid DS licence and CCTV licence (essential)
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing large security teams
  • Strong knowledge of key management systems, CCTV, access control, and incident management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • High level of customer service and professionalism, with confidentiality at the core of all actions
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to remain calm under pressure or during emergencies
  • IT literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Minimum of 5 years’ verifiable work history in security management

Shift Pattern & Pay

  • Salary: £54,906 per annum
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm
  • Holiday: 28 days per annum (inclusive of bank holidays)
