Role Overview

As a Security Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding corporate public buildings in Central London. This is a frontline role involving both public interaction and proactive building patrols. With 12-hour shifts starting at 7am, officers will spend the majority of their time (approximately 80%) patrolling or standing to ensure safety and security are consistently maintained.

This position is ideal for individuals who are professional, confident, and dedicated to delivering high-quality customer service in a security environment.

Key Responsibilities as a Security Officer

  • Welcome and assist members of the public with professionalism and courtesy
  • Patrol all floors of the building to maintain safety and visibility
  • Ensure the protection of on-site personnel, visitors, and property at all times
  • Escort external contractors and personnel as required
  • Liaise with fellow security officers and site management
  • Provide clear directions and support to members of the public
  • Respond proactively to incidents, maintaining calm and control at all times

Skills & Experience Required

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (required)
  • Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate (required)
  • Minimum of 6 months’ security experience
  • Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written
  • Smart, professional appearance and excellent communication skills
  • Physically fit, mobile, and able to carry out regular patrols
  • Ability to provide a complete 5-year UK employment/education history for vetting purposes

Shift Pattern & Pay

  • £15.52 per hour
  • 12-hour day shifts, 7am start
  • Central London location
