Role Overview

As a Store Cleaner, you’ll take pride in maintaining high standards across the store, ensuring that every space—from shop floor to staff areas—is spotless, safe, and ready for the day ahead. You’ll work independently but be part of a supportive team, trusted to carry out essential cleaning tasks that help keep the store running smoothly.

This position is ideal for someone reliable, proactive, and ready to make a visible difference in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities as Store Cleaner

• Maintain cleanliness across the shop floor, toilets, welfare areas, and staff facilities

• Operate industrial cleaning machinery confidently and safely

• Ensure external spaces like car parks and trolley bays are clean and tidy

• Carry out minor maintenance tasks as needed

• Follow hygiene, safety, and health protocols at all times

• Support the wider team with housekeeping duties and general upkeep

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance (preferred but not essential)

• A self-motivated, hands-on attitude and eye for detail

• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision

• Physical stamina for early morning and manual work

• A commitment to high standards of hygiene and safety

• Reliable, punctual, and eager to contribute

Shift Pattern & Pay

• £12.75–£12.95 per hour

• 15-hour contract

• 5 days/week, 6am–9am

• Tuesdays and Sundays off

• Additional pay: £2.00/hour on bank holidays, £3.50/hour for night shifts
