Role Overview: Veterinary Area Manager
We’re looking for a driven, highly organised, and proactive Veterinary Area Manager to support our expanding group of clinics. In this vital leadership role, you’ll oversee multiple surgeries, ensuring operational excellence, team development, and the continued delivery of top-tier clinical care. This is a fast-paced and rewarding position, ideal for someone with strong managerial experience and a passion for veterinary care.
Key Responsibilities as Veterinary Area Manager
- Manage day-to-day operations across several independent veterinary surgeries
- Support and mentor high-performing teams, including vets, nurses, and front-of-house staff
- Drive continuous improvement in clinical care, customer service, and workflow efficiency
- Collaborate with senior leadership to implement strategic initiatives
- Contribute innovative solutions to support business growth and patient outcomes
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations
- Provide regular onsite support across locations (5 days/week)
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a similar Area or Practice Manager role (veterinary background preferred)
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
- A flexible, solution-focused mindset with a drive for excellence
- Ability to thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment
- Driving licence (preferred)
Salary & Schedule
- Up to £55,000 per year, depending on experience
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday with occasional weekend availability required
- Onsite support required 5 days a week across South-East London clinics
